Inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion (2018–2019)

Ripley joined the NXT UK brand shortly after the 2018 Mae Young Classic, having debuted in the first episode of the recently formed NXT UK program.

While the show was being taped for television in August (with episodes airing in November), Ripley competed in an eight-woman competition to crown the first-ever NXT UK Women’s Champion. To become the first champion, she triumphed against Toni Storm in the championship match, Dakota Kai in the semifinals, and Xia Brookside in the first round.

After Buddy Murphy, Ripley became the second Australian champion overall and the first female champion in WWE history with her victory. Prior to the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view, Evolution, on October 28, Ripley participated in a dark match in which she defeated Dakota Kai to successfully defend her championship (at the time, the tournament had not yet shown, therefore she was not yet acknowledged as the champion on screen). Ripley defeated Isla Dawn and Deonna Purrazzo, among other title challengers, during her championship run.

At NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool on January 12, 2019, Ripley suffered her first loss in the brand as she was beaten by Toni Storm, ending her reign at 139 days. NXT Women’s Champion (2019–2021)

When Ripley unexpectedly returned to the NXT scene on August 28, 2019, she interrupted NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler and said, “She may have beaten everyone on NXT, but not me.” Baszler responded angrily, setting off a feud between the two.

Concurrent with her conflict with Baszler, Ripley and Tegan Nox were among the numerous NXT wrestlers who stormed SmackDown on November 1st, challenging Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to a tag bout, which they eventually won. Subsequently, Ripley accompanied Triple H and the whole NXT cast on Raw and SmackDown, announcing their intention to win the 2019 Survivor Series brand war. She defeated Sasha Banks of SmackDown and Raw’s Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match on the 22nd episode of SmackDown as part of the ongoing storyline.

While teammate Dakota Kai turned heel and attacked Tegan Nox before the two even entered the match, leaving Ripley and Candice LeRae in a de facto two-on-four handicap match, Ripley led Team Ripley in the inaugural women’s WarGames match at TakeOver: WarGames on November 23 against Team Baszler (Baszler, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, and NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray). Nevertheless, Ripley gave her team the win by pinning Baszler. After eliminating SmackDown captain Sasha Banks, Ripley led her team in the 5-on-5-on-5 women’s elimination match, which her team won after she, LeRae, and Shirai were the only ones left standing. The next night at Survivor Series, Ripley was a member of Team NXT, which triumphed over Teams Raw and SmackDown.

As the first person to win both the NXT Women’s and NXT UK Women’s Championships, Ripley defeated Baszler in the NXT Women’s Championship match on December 18, NXT. She subsequently defeated Toni Storm in a successful title defense at Worlds Collide on January 25, 2020.

During her visit on the Raw show on February 3, 2020, Ripley confronted Charlotte Flair, the winner of the Royal Rumble, and suggested that Flair take her moment to fight Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36. When Flair made her appearance in the next NXT episode, she was interrupted by both Ripley and Bianca Belair, who would later team up to challenge Flair for the title at TakeOver: Portland. Ultimately, the two attacked Flair together. At the aforementioned event on February 16, Flair attacked Ripley after he accepted his challenge, and Ripley successfully defended the belt against Belair.

On April 5, on the second night of WrestleMania 36, Ripley was defeated by Flair for the title. Due to immigration complications, Ripley took a leave of absence from WWE and returned to Australia, the company revealed the day following WrestleMania. On the NXT episode airing on May 6, Ripley made her comeback after Flair’s attack on Flair caused her to be disqualified from an NXT Women’s Championship contest against Io Shirai. After, a backstage interview featuring Ripley and Shirai was aired. During it, they started fighting and had to be separated by officials.

Ripley and Flair were defeated by Io Shirai in a triple threat match for the NXT Women’s Championship on June 7 at TakeOver: In Your House. Ripley unsuccessfully challenged Shirai for the NXT Women’s Championship on the November 18th episode of NXT. Ripley was revealed as a part of Shotzi Blackheart’s squad for the second-ever women’s WarGames match on the December 2nd episode of NXT.

In the final battle of her NXT career, Ripley was unable to defeat Raquel González in a Last Woman Standing contest at New Year’s Evil on January 6, 2021. On January 31, Ripley entered the Royal Rumble at number fourteen, made seven eliminations, and made it to the final two contestants before being vanquished by the eventual champion, Bianca Belair.

Following Asuka’s acceptance of Ripley’s challenge, the match was set for April 11th, the second night of WrestleMania. Asuka lost to Ripley at WrestleMania 37, and Ripley took home the Raw Women’s Championship. Following WrestleMania, Ripley defended the championship in a rematch against Asuka on the Raw; however, due to intervention from Charlotte Flair, who assaulted both Asuka and Ripley, the match resulted in a no-contest.

A rematch between Asuka and Ripley for the Raw Women’s Championship was originally planned for WrestleMania Backlash on May 3rd, but Flair was added to the event by WWE official Sonya Deville, making it a triple threat match. Ripley successfully defended her title by pinning Asuka at the event on May 16. On June 20, at Hell in a Cell, Flair defeated Ripley by disqualification; as a result, Ripley kept her title.56] On July 18, at Money in the Bank, Ripley lost the title to Flair, bringing her reign to a stop after 98 days. On August 21, at SummerSlam, she was unable to win the championship back in a triple threat match against Flair and the champion Nikki A. S. H.

In the ensuing weeks, Ripley changed her appearance and formed a tag team with Nikki A. S. H. On the Raw broadcast of September 20, they defeated Tamina and Natalya to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Ripley and A. S. H. lost their titles to Carmella and Queen Zelina on the Raw program that aired on November 22, bringing an end to their 63-day reign. When A. S. H. attacked Ripley on the Raw show airing January 10, 2022, their cooperation came to an end.

She joined forces with Liv Morgan to defeat Zelina and Carmella on the March 7th, Raw program, bringing them into the Women’s Tag Team Championship triple threat match at WrestleMania 38 and turning it into a decisive four-way match. They were not successful in taking home the crowns on April 3, the second night of the event: Ripley and Morgan lost their match against Sasha Banks and Naomi, the champions, on the Raw program airing on April 18. Following the contest, Ripley attacked Morgan, severing their relationship and making his second heel appearance on the main roster.

The Judgment Day (2022–present)

Ripley cost AJ Styles his match against Edge at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8 and was exposed as a member of The Judgment Day. On June 5 at Hell in a Cell, The Judgment Day (Edge, Damian Priest, and Ripley) won a mixed tag match against Styles, Finn Bálor, and Liv Morgan. After Bálor was announced by Edge as the newest member of The Judgment Day on Raw the following night, Edge was abruptly attacked and forced out of the stable by Bálor, Priest, and Ripley.

After winning a devastating four-way battle later that evening, Ripley rose to the top of the contender rankings for Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship. She was supposed to compete against Belair at Money in the Bank on July 2, but she had to withdraw from the match since she was not medically cleared to do so. Carmella took her place.

Balor and Priest lost to Rey and Edge in a match at Clash at the Castle as a result of the stable’s feud with the Mysterios (Rey and Dominik). Dominik turned heel and joined The Judgment Day after attacking Edge and Rey following the match. Together with Ripley, Dominik adopted a gimmick reminiscent of Eddie Guerrero’s Latino Heat for The Judgment Day, with Ripley referring to herself as Dominik’s “Mami”.

Dominik, Priest, and Ripley assisted Bálor in defeating Edge in a “I Quit” match on October 8 at Extreme Rules. Following the game, Ripley used a con-chair-to to attack Edge’s wife, Beth Phoenix. At Crown Jewel, The O.C. (Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson) lost to Bálor, Priest, and Dominik in a six-man tag match due to Ripley’s intervention.

The O.C. unveiled the reappearance of Mia Yim as their countermeasure against Ripley in the next Raw show. After Becky Lynch pinned Dakota Kai in a WarGames match, Ripley’s team fell to Yim’s team at Survivor Series WarGames on November 26. This was three weeks later. The Judgment Day ended their feud with The O.C. on November 28, Raw, by winning an eight-person mixed tag match.

When Ripley showed up at ringside for the men’s Royal Rumble match on January 28, 2023, she tried to help her stablemates assault Edge, but Beth Phoenix, Edge’s wife, speared her instead. Later that evening, Liv Morgan, who started the match as number two, was eliminated by last-place finisher Ripley in the women’s Royal Rumble match. With this triumph, Ripley became the first woman to win the Royal Rumble as an entrant and the fourth wrestler (after Edge in 2021, Chris Benoit in 2004, and Shawn Michaels in 1995) to do so.

At 1:01:08, she also held the record for the longest time in a women’s Royal Rumble match; Morgan’s official time was one second shorter. Ripley announced that she would challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 on the ensuing Raw program. Ripley defeated Flair on the first night of WrestleMania 39 on April 1 to win the championship. At the age of 26, Ripley became the youngest grand slam champion (male or female) in WWE history with this victory, making her the fifth and seventh women’s Triple Crown champions overall.

In her first championship defense at Backlash, Ripley defeated Zelina Vega of the Latino World Order with victory. In a 70-second squash match at Night of Champions, Ripley defeated Natalya to successfully defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The SmackDown Women’s Championship was renamed the Women’s World Championship and Ripley was given a brand-new championship belt on the June 12th episode of Raw. In the Raw program from July 3rd, Ripley triumphed over Natalya once more to hold the title.

After spearing Kevin Owens over the barricade at Payback on September 2, Ripley assisted Bálor and Priest in winning the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. Later that evening, Dominik’s diversion helped Ripley defeat Raquel Rodriguez and keep her title. After interference from the returning Nia Jax, who assaulted Ripley after the match and injured her, Ripley defeated Rodriguez in a rematch to keep the championship on September 11 episode of Raw. In a deadly five-way match at Crown Jewel on November 4, Ripley prevailed over Jax, Rodriguez, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler, whom she pinched, to keep her title.
