McCall MacBain Scholarship for Best Students
The McCall MacBain Scholarship at McGill University is a full graduate scholarship. The award will cover tuition and fees for any master’s degree at McGill as well as a second-entry professional undergraduate program (such as law, medicine, or dentistry).
Scholars at McCall MacBain are expected to be open and committed to mutual learning. As a cohort of scholars, you will connect with one another through yearly summer retreats, biweekly seminars, monthly speaker series, an annual Principal’s Lecture, workshops, and other events. all while attending school in one of the world’s most linguistically and culturally diverse cities.
As a McCall MacBain Scholar, you will be eligible to enroll in a master’s or second-entry professional degree program at McGill University with full funding. The scholarship covers monthly living expenses of CAD 2,000, tuition and fees for the duration of the master’s or professional degree, and a relocation payment for moving to Montréal.

Level/Field of Study
You may apply for a McCall MacBain Scholarship if you plan to apply for admission to a full-time master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill University. Programs that accept solely Summer applicants are also suitable. The program must be at least 45 credits long and take place largely on McGill University’s downtown or Macdonald campuses. This scholarship is one of the Top 10 Best Scholarships in Canada for all Students.
Second-Entry Professional Undergraduate Degrees
Joint degree programs, executive master’s degrees, PhDs, and graduate certifications are not covered by the McCall MacBain Scholarships. You may apply to McGill for a forthcoming master’s degree at the start of your qualifying year if you are in your qualifying year.

Required Criteria for McCall MacBain Scholarship
You must meet the minimum educational and linguistic requirements to be admitted to the McGill master’s program. A bachelor’s degree, or its recognized equivalent, is required, as is the ability to obtain one by August.
Financial Coverage
The McCall MacBain Scholarship will be awarded to up to 20 Canadians (citizens, permanent residents, and refugees) and 10 foreign applicants.
If you apply for the McCall MacBain Scholarship, you may be eligible for additional awards. Candidates that excel during the interview process will be considered for one of almost 80 finalist and regional awards.
Canadian applications will be eligible for up to 30 Finalist Awards worth $10,000 each and up to 28 Regional Awards worth $5,000. While Regional Awards are transferable to any public university in Canada, Finalist Awards are only transferable to full-time masters or professional courses at McGill.
All other applicants, including those from the United States, can compete for one of the 20 International Finalist Awards ($20,000). The international finalist awards can be utilized to pursue a master’s or professional degree at McGill full-time.

The deadline for Canadian and American candidates is September 21, [year], and the deadline for other international students is August 25, [year].
