Deadline: March 6, 2022

Fill out an application to be a ONE Champion in Ethiopia and Kenya in 2022. For the East Africa cohort of the ONE Champions program in 2022, the ONE Campaign is looking for passionate campaigners to join their team.

A voluntary one-year program, ONE will recruit, train, and support 30 emerging leaders between the ages of 18 and 35 who will be supported by ONE throughout the program year. These individuals will advocate for the causes that ONE supports at the grass-roots, national, state, and county levels in Kenya and Ethiopia. The champions must currently reside and be active in either Kenya or Ethiopia, but they can be nationals of any country in Eastern Africa, as long as they are currently residing and active in either country. Education, gender, health, agriculture, and transparency are some of the issues that ONE advocates and campaigns on as a means of combating poverty. The program was launched in 2020 with the participation of 30 Champions from across the region.

One Champions will collaborate closely with the ONE East Africa and African Union program team, which is led by the Regional Director, and will work with the direction and support of ONE Campaigns to develop innovative and exciting methods of engaging policymakers in order to secure policy changes and public investments that will alleviate poverty in East Africa.

A fantastic opportunity to make an impact in your community, country, and the world by collaborating with highly visible and mission-driven ONE supporters in an incredible and supportive environment is presented by this position.
