In “Health Savings Accounts (HSA’s) Are Awesome – 7 Reasons,” the author lists the different reasons that HSA’s are beneficial to the people that have them. The author likes HSA’s because all contributions made to these accounts are tax-deductible and grow tax free. A person can also choose whatever health insurance company he or she wants to set up a high-deductible insurance plan with, too, when setting up an HSA. Because a person must have a high-deductible plan to have an HSA, having an HSA naturally keeps the person’s monthly premiums lower than they would be otherwise. The author is also fond of retaining control over the money deposited in an HSA and having the option of using these funds to pay for expenses during retirement after reaching age 65. Finally, the author likes the peace of mind an HSA provides and is impressed with how easy the accounts are to set up.
