Baby boomers now represent one quarter of the American population and the generation is rapidly approaching retirement. Does this mean they are assuming the typical life of leisure everyone that associates with retirement? In short, not at all.
Baby boomers are quickly redefining traditional retirement. Many are showing interest in staying in the workforce by pursuing “encore careers,” with financial security or new challenges still on their minds.
However the boomer generation decides to spend their final years is anyone’s guess.
